FLURISA – Launching New Education Hub
The FLURISA Board has launched an Education Hub housing access to a suite of free GIS training courses for current members. Recently, FLURISA purchased an Annual eCourse Subscription for Organizations through eGIS Associates, Inc and Geospatial Training Services, LLC. This annual subscription allows current FLURISA members to pursue GIS training with FREE access to 27 self-paced, online courses while simultaneously developing workplace skills. Courses titles range from ArcGIS Desktop 101 for ArcGIS10 and Introduction to ArcGIS Server 10.1, to more advanced courses Design and Build GIS Web Sites Like a Pro, and Advanced Google Maps API Programming. Access to the list of courses available and course codes are provided on the FLURISA.org Education tab (login and current membership required). Upon completion of courses members may request a certificate of course completion through Geospatial Training Services, LLC. What’s more, FLURISA’s Education Hub courses are eligible for GISP education units.
This week we will host an eFLURISA webinar to provide an overview of FLURISA’s new Education Hub, Course options included with the annual eCourse subscription, and how to access courses through a live demonstration. This webinar will be free and open to the public (membership not required). Seats for the webinar are limited.
